House Manager (Minnesota)
I am a recovering alcoholic. The last few years of my husband's and my addiction, we were homeless. We knew we needed sober living, but wanted to stay together. We had been married for 13 years. Everywhere we looked, we were unable to stay together, and that kept us in a cycle of addiction. After our hospital stay, we heard about A New Era and called and spoke to Kristen, and that call changed everything for my family. We have 9 children with 3 being under 18, so this changed everyones lives. We were able to have a safe sober place to live , get jobs, and after a few months reunite with our children. I am now a House Manager in one of the A New Era homes. We now have a relationship with all our children and grandchildren, something we feel would have never happened if it weren't for getting sober and coming to A New Era. We love that we are a family again and get to help others stay sober as well! None of this would have been possible without Kristen and the A New Era family!!
House Manager (California)
Living in a sober living isn't just about staying sober- It's about figuring out how to live, really live, without numbing your trauma. I was just trying to stay sober and figure out what came next. What I didn't know is that my time as a resident would teach me lessons about accountability, friendships, and boundaries that I carry with me now as a Resident Manager. Lessons that help me understand and bond with the residents entering our homes. These experiences not only shaped my recovery journey but also my personal goals and career. Taking me from someone who is searching for stability and meaning in life to building my practice as an intuitive spiritual coach, energy healer, and tarot reader, assisting others in the self-healing journey and in recovery. I'm proud and honored to be part of the management team at A New Era Sober Living. This experience has taught me about myself, about relationships and about building a life I never thought possible.

Hello! I’m Jerry, a manager at A New Era Sober Living. My role here has given me a strong sense of purpose and the chance to support individuals in their fight against addiction. Witnessing clients thrive in their recovery and transform into contributing members of society is truly inspiring; I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.
House Manager (North Carolina)
I have had a chance to grow and develop the responsibilities needed to be a successful adult here at sober living. I have centered my life around helping people by giving what was given to me almost 3 years ago. I gained family again that I didn't have before I was here. It feels amazing to see the growth in myself, it gives me something to be proud of. I had lost myself before sobriety. Now that I have found myself, I want to help other people be able to find themselves too, that's exactly what we do here at A New Era.

A New Era is unlike any other sober home. They provide recovering addicts with a sense of independence like no other. At A New Era, Kristen and Jerry have given managers the tools to help fellow addicts become more self-reliant. As a former client turned manager, my experience here has been so important to my journey. Im now 16 months sober and on my second season of working. The consistency provided has been a huge influence on my job retention. Fellow managers are also a great supporting factor in the motivation here at A New Era. For me, the biggest part of A New Era is the kind. caring, consistent atmosphere Kristen and Jerry provide for all of us fellow addicts!!
Community Outreach (North Carolina)
Hi, I’m Randy B. I came to A New Era Sober Living from Oklahoma when I was in desperate need of help. From the moment I arrived, Kristen and the staff welcomed me with open arms. Through their support, and the groups I did at the local IOP that works with A New Era clients, I’ve been able to find myself again and achieve sobriety. Today, I’m grateful to work closely with everyone at A New Era as part of a team dedicated to helping others find recovery too. Being able to help friends from back home discover new opportunities, away from the environment of active addiction, has made a huge difference. It truly is a chance at a new beginning.

This arrangement simplifies the moving process and helps create a comfortable living space right away.
